The
first album from the melodic neo-punksters. From the dark, sarcastic lyrics
of Richey James to the pop feel from the rest of the band, this is an iuntriguing debut. |

Didn't
like this one too much, and I don't know why. Maybe the lyrics were just
TOO dark for my tastes. Whatever the reason, I don't listen to this one too often. |

The
first album after Richey James' disappearance. Under mysterious circumstances,
too. He was even featured on the British version of America's Most Wanted. As a result, and also in spite of, his disappearance, the lyrics are mostly upbeat. Or maybe it just feels that way because the music feels upbeat. Regardless, this is an excellent record. Also one of the first Britpop albms I ever bought. |
