Debuting at #1 in England, this is a fantastic piece of work. Arty, poppy, alternative all at the same time.
Ambitious but not pretentious. Mansun felt like a force to be reckoned with at the time of this release. Of
course, they never caught on in America (d'oh!). I saw them open for The Seahorses in Cleveland in
support of this record and I was awestruck. Mansun was something very special.

Forget Radiohead! OK Computer was indeed great, but THIS record is a masterpiece. The production is
wild, the songs incredible, and the playing is dizzyingly wonderful! You MUST have this record to appreciate
what a creative mind and studio wizardry can produce.

Returning to a simpler song structure, Mansun released another strong album full of compelling songs.
Some criticized them for turning their backs on the advances they made with Six; The Beatles got the same
flack when they released The White Album after Sgt.Pepper. So, Mansun's in good company then.

In 2002, Mansun re-entered the studio to begin work on their next album. Unfortunately, the songs didn't
come together for the band and after recording the whole album, they decided to break up. A few months
went by and Parlophone rang them up requesting the album for release. Since the band no longer existed,
Paul Draper (songwriter, singer, de facto leader of the group) agreed but wanted to give something to us
loyal fans. Through an online poll, the 20 best EP tracks were selected and included here, along with
Draper's two cents, and an extra CD of rarities. Remarkably, this "unfinished" fourth album has more
passion, more artistry, more completeness than anything the corporate monolith could ever hope to release.

Long Live Mansun!
