I now! Let's cross Power Pop with Punk sensibilities married to Reggae! It'll be a goldmine! Sounds kinda
strange, dunnit? But that's The Police in a nutshell, and man, what a combination! Probably THE most
successful of the New Wave movement, this debut lays the groundwork for more great things to come from
this phenomenal band.

What a breakthrough album! This sucker was EVERYWHERE in 1980. The production is very clean, the
songs incredible. And still not one iota is commercial. Times like this when all is right with the world.

More of the same, but with this one you could feel the indie side of The Police slipping away, becoming
consumed by the corporate beast. Still enough on our side, but they were slipping. Don't get me wrong, this
is a very good album. You just knew that the end was near.

Y'know, anytime a band tours and adds a female vocal section to provide backing vocals, you know the ride
is over. And that's what The Police did with this tour. And yes, this was it for our boys. Egos finally won out
and imploded one of the greatest bands ever. Ironically this record, though their most commecially
successful, was probably the worst record of their career. Thankfully the singles are all killer and save it,
but the overall impact of the album left me empty.

Every single note The Police recorded is here. Live recordings, B-Sides, album tracks. And presented in
chronological order, so for a nemitz like me, this is absolute heaven! Plus the accompanying book provides
a wonderfully accurate and blunt history of one of the greatest bands ever.

The folks at A & M records decided to finally milk the last drops for The Police teat by releasing this double
CD live album. Of course, their timing sucked (12 years after the band broke up). I always wanted a live
Police record - too bad I never got it. What a letdown this was! One CD from the start of their career, the
second from their last tour. I wish they did the Pearl Jam thing and released a live album from every tour.
That way you could pick and choose. Oh well . . . at least there's something that represents the Police live.

Ya like? Check these out!
