At
the height of their popularity, Duran
Duran took a break. But instead of relaxing, they broke off into two camps and recorded albums. The more successful of the two was The Power Station. Arcadia was good, but it's apples and oranges. Great rock songs with an 80s production value. What a combination!

I'm
still surprised that The Power Station released a second album, eleven
years after their debut. I don't recall any great public demand for new Power Station product, and this was before the mini-80s nostalgia kick in the late 90s, so why they did this I don't know. But I'm glad they did. I always liked Power Station, and this is a good record . . . I'm still pondering the reason why, that's all.
