been a fan of The White Stripes. I think they are WAY overrated and I wouldn't give them the time of day. But I worship Brendan Benson, and he's the reason why I like this band. Great Power Pop meets Classic Rock hybrid. |

| There's
more of Jack White here than on the previous album, and at first
I wwas disappointed. Still don't know why he's so revered. Brendan Benson is a far greater talent in my estimation. Anyway, this album grew on me and probably mostly due to my long-buried appreciation of 70s dinosaur rock, which The Raconteurs raided unceremoniously. A very good record at a time when guitars seem to be a dying breed. |
