Single-handedly created the genre of country rock. Sure, The Flying Burrito Brothers and The Byrds had
their hand in things, but Nez started the ball rolling back on the very first Monkees album. Now if you're not a
fan of country rock, stay away. But if you collect all things related to the Monkees, Nez's albums are well
worth the investment.

More of the same from Nez. Include 'Silver Moon' a great crossover country-pop tune.

Kind of at a standstill here. Papa Nes needed a big change in direction or he was in danger of becoming
stagnant.

Unplugged, decades before it was made fashionable on MTV! Just Nez and his longtime friend /

A return to form of sorts. Back to the country rock augmented with a band, but there are hints of what was to
come, both good (Radio Engine) and bad (The Prison).

Okay, this is a concept album-book, which means that in order to fully appreciate the concept you must
read the accompanying book that tells the story that goes with the music. Whew! Nez must have had a
little too much happy smoke and New Age exposure, and it shows here! Only for the die hards!

Nez decided to record a live album, but bucking 70s convention, he decided it would only be on one record!
Nice, mellow, country rock at its best.

FINALLY, a hit! "Cruisin'" became a classic, not only in terms of a great rock song, but instantly nailing

Bootleg soundtrack to the first film Papa Nes was instrumental in (no pun intended!). Producer, writer,

Side A is great! Stuff Nez had laying around for years but never released for whatever reasons. Great pop
songs and beautifully strange comedic twists. A knockout punch. Side B is great, too, but lackluster if you
already own Radio Engine and Infinite Dogma. But having these selection on CD is always nice.

Pap Nes' stuff is truly for die hard fans. Let's face it . . . either you're a Monkees fanatic who follows
eveything associated to the pre-fab four (like me!) or you love obscure country rock. This record, though,
reminds me of Lyle Lovett and the style of music he does. Exquisitely produced and wonderfully written,
this is a must have for anyone's collection.

Supposedly the sequel to his magnum opus, The Prison. Hard to tell since this is all instrumental; no lyrical
content to tie it together with his other New Age tone poem. Unfortunately, this appears to be the last we've
heard from ol' Nez.
