The Next Big Thing and from Liverpool no less. Man, did these guys have pressure put on them or what? No
wonder they never made it past one album. Shame, though, since they were very good.

Grace to Grace
You gotta give him an 'A' for effort. This album could have been so much fun, so experimental, but Geddy
kept himself within the format of a trio. He's been doing that for 30 years! Branch out, son! Get a little crazy,
do something that's not expected of you! Maybe next time he'll listen, but for now this feels like a poor man's
Rush album.

I Wanna Know Now
I always wanted to be a rock star. Even when I was 7 years old and I'd mime to my Beatles and Monkees
records while 'playing' a tennis racket and signing into my golf club microphone (don't ask!), I always knew I
wanted to perform. Well, it may have taken 25 years, but I finally did it! The production is lousy, and one of
the songs is not thoroughly thought out, but the rest is very good if I do say so my damn self! For more of my
stuff, check these out: ..... the dnghrs ...... man from glad ...... Collideascope

Sean's Theme
It was inevitable, I guess. If your dad was a famous rock star, you release an album. At least this one is
good. Weird, but good. Luckily for us, we have two offspring from John Lennon that are talented (also see
Julian Lennon). But where Julian is pretty mainstream, Sean has that streak of Yoko running through him
that makes his music just a bit offbeat.

Sukaz are Born Every Minute
Essentially Bleu's second album, this is a Power Pop supergroup (with Mike Viola of The Candybutchers
and Andy Sturmer from Jellyfish) paying homage to Jeff Lynne and Electric Light Orchestra. Close your
eyes and you'd swear you were listening to a long lost ELO album. Great stuff!.

The Lightning Seeds

Fishes On the Line
Their last album that was released in the US. Now all of their stuff is available on import only. Pricey, but well
worth it. This was one of the reigning kings of BritPop back in 1996.

I Lost Myself
She Said

Sally Dances

Over Our Bodies
Hard to categorize, really. Not BritPop but not grunge or heavy metal. Actually, they kind of harken back to
the days of a Love and Rockets-type of band. Serious, moody, but can rock out with the best of them.

Last Night
In the spring of 1981, while watching MTV religiously (24 hours a day), I saw a video of The Look playing
on a playground and lip-synching to their song. They sang 'we're gonna rock, how 'bout you? Don't sit on
your ass, don't be no fool . . .' Incredibly stupid lyrics, but I loved it! That song had been stuck in my head
for 20 years, and I could never find the album. One day in 2002, I was in a used record store in Akron, Ohio,
and lo and behold I found this record! Still sounds naively stupid but I love it! This is one of the most prized
possessions in my record collection.

80s punk at its best! This is weird. I think this is an essential album for anyone's collection, but I can't think of
anything to say about it!

Laughing Stock
Probably the most overlooked album of the psychedelic era. Maybe because it's not really psychedelic. But
for a realistic feel of what it was like in 1967 California, this record has it.

A pivotal release for the genre of alternative music. Goth-psychedelia, I think would be the best way to
describe L & R. From the ashes of Bauhaus, Love & Rockets was born.

The Lovin' Spoonful
Daydream
1997 KRB Records
Summer in the City
Do You Believe in Magic?

A little sampler I picked up at a discount store, but it has all the singles, so who cares? A nice slice of 60's
nostalgia.

Freebird
1976 - the year of the live double album. Frampton, Rush and Skynyrd. Exploitation by the record
companies or ego stroking of the artists? Who know? Who cares? More bang for our buck, I say. But if I
hear 'Freebird' one more time . . . . . . . still, it IS a classic.
